Retrieving the WebSphere LTPA key

You retrieve the WebSphere LTPA key from the IBM® WebSphere® Portal Express server so that you can use the key on the IBM Lotus® Domino® server that runs the Domino Extended Product for which you are configuring single sign-on (for example, IBM Lotus QuickPlace® or IBM Lotus Sametime®, or Lotus Domino on a messaging/application server).

If you have already retrieved the WebSphere LTPA key for another application (for example, IBM Tivoli® Access Manager for e-business, Lotus QuickPlace, or Lotus Sametime) you can skip this procedure.

Perform the following steps:

  1. On the WebSphere Application Server, start the administrative console and log in.
  2. Select Security > Secure administration, applications, and infrastructure.
  3. Under Web security, click Single sign-on (SSO).
  4. Enter the fully qualified domain name and then click OK.
  5. Click Save to save the changes to the master configuration.
  6. Click Authentication mechanisms and expiration.
  7. Type the password in the Password and Confirm password fields.
  8. Type the name of your file in the Fully qualified key file name field.
  9. Click Export Keys. The key is exported to the wp_profile directory.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click Save to save the changes to the master configuration.
  12. Log out from the administrative console.
  13. Copy the key file that was created during the export process to a location that is accessible to the Lotus Domino server.
