About the Domino and Extended Products Portlets

The Domino® and Extended Products Portlets, with two exceptions, are provided on several pages deployed during the installation of the portal.

The pages provide sample instances of the portlets listed in the table below.

The Domino Integration pages provide examples of using Domino and Extended Products and servers in your site, but setting up the Domino and Extended Products Portlets requires planning and confirming configuration of, as well as performing some additional configuration of, all required servers, collaborative software, and in some cases, portlet instances. For a road map of tasks, see Information roadmap: Domino Integration

The People Finder portlet is available in the default installed portal from the People palette, which opens from a person icon at the top right corner of the page.

Users of the People Finder portlet have access to a searchable directory of people that is integrated with their team places and their e-meetings. Users can find people in the directory, see their online status, and interact with them using instant messaging and other actions provided by person links. In addition to search features, People Finder provides views of each person's directory record and his or her place in the organizational context. Person links in team places and e-meetings can make employee interaction fast and easy, improving personal and organizational productivity.
