Deploying a template

Deploy a composite application template to another sever by exporting and importing the template XML file from the source server to the target server. Use the Application Template Library on the source server to export the template XML file. Use the Application Template Library on the target server to import the template XML file.

After you create or customize an application template, you can export it for use on another server. Follow these steps to deploy a template on one or more servers.

1. In the Application Template Library, find the template that you want to deploy on another server and open its drop-down menu.
2. From the menu of the template, click Export Template and save the template as an XML file in your file system.
3. Move the file to the file system of the server on which you want to deploy the template.
4. On the target server, open the Application Template Library.
5. Click Import and browse to find the XML template file. You can import a template using the name of an existing template if you assign the imported template to a different category.
6. Click OK to import the template file. You will now see the template listed in the Application Template Library.
7. Repeat these steps for each server on which you want to deploy the template.
