Install test workbench

Install IBM MobileFirst Platform Test Workbench into an Eclipse IDE where Worklight Studio v6.0.0 or later is already installed.

• Your computer must meet the system requirements for the software.
• Worklight Studio v6.0.0 or later must be already installed on the computer.
• Ensure an Internet connection is available in case dependencies required by the installation are not included in the Eclipse IDE.

To install Test Workbench as part of Developer Edition, go to the MPF development website.

To install Test Workbench on top of MobileFirst Studio as part of Consumer Edition or Enterprise Edition...

1. Start the Eclipse IDE workbench and click...
   Help | Install new software | Work with | Add | Archive

2. Browse to the location of the P2 update .zip file on the DVD, or of the archive file on the machine, and click Open.

3. Click OK to exit the Add Repository window.

4. Select the features of IBM MobileFirst Platform Test Workbench to install, and then click Next.

5. On the Install Details page, review features to install, then click Next.

6. On the Review Licenses page, accept terms, then click Finish. The installation process starts.

7. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

What to do next

1. Install the mobile test clients for the Android and iOS simulators.
2. Configure the mobile test client.
3. Test with MPF.
4. Add a JDK to the path in Eclipse.
