Work with community forum replies
Using the Atom Publishing Protocol, also known as AtomPub, you can create or update replies to forum topics in communities.With version 3, a stand-alone Forums application was introduced. It has a full set of APIs for working with forum replies. Refer to Forums API for more details.
Create a community forum reply programmatically
To post a reply to a topic in a community forum, send an Atom entry document containing the forum reply to the forum replies resource.Retrieve a community forum reply programmatically
To retrieve complete information about a reply to a topic in a community forum, use the edit link found in the forum reply entry in the forum replies feed.Update a community forum reply programmatically
To update a reply to a topic in a community forum, send an updated forum reply document in Atom format to the existing reply's edit web address.Delete a community forum reply programmatically
Because replies often have child replies associated with them, when you delete a reply from a forum, the reply is not entirely removed. Instead, if you use the HTTP DELETE command to delete the reply, the reply content is replaced with a standard message that states that the content has been removed. If you want a custom message to be displayed, use the HTTP PUT command instead.
