Manually uninstalling Lotus Connections
Uninstall Lotus Connections without using the uninstallation wizard.
Perform this task only if you are having trouble using the uninstallation wizard or if you want to clean your environment after an installation failure.
To uninstall Lotus Connections manually...
- (Network deployment only.) Remove all the nodes from each cluster:
- Log into a node that you want to remove from a cluster.
- Open a command prompt and change to the profile_root/bin directory.
- Run the removeNode script file to remove this node:
- AIX or Linux:
removenode.sh
[-username uid] [-password pwd]
- Windows:
removenode.bat
[-username uid] [-password pwd]
where uid and pwd are the dmgr (DM) administrator username and password.
- Repeat sub-steps a-c until you have removed all the nodes in each cluster.
- Remove Lotus Connections files from each system or node where Lotus Connections is installed:
- (Network deployment only.) Delete the profile_root/config/cells/cell_name/LotusConnections-config directory.
where cell_name is the name of the cell that contains the node.
- (Network deployment only.) Delete the registry.xml file in profile_root/config/cells/cell_name
- Delete the LC_ROOT
- Remove WebSphere Application Server settings:
- Log in to the WAS admin console by going to the following Web address in a browser:
http://<web_server_host_name>:9060/ibm/console
- Select Applications > Enterprise Applications and Applications, select the link for each Lotus Connections feature, and then click Uninstall.
- Remove the following WebSphere Application Server configuration items:

- (Network deployment only.) Repeat step 3 on WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment.
- (Network deployment only.) Delete all the clusters:
- Log in to the WAS admin console by going to the following Web address in a browser:
http://<deployment_manager_host_name>:9060/ibm/console
- Select Servers > Clusters.
- Select the check box beside each cluster that hosts Lotus Connections features and click Delete.
- Click Save.
