Accepting invitations
Accept invitations to join new networks and add connections to your personal network.
If your administrator has enabled e-mail notifications for the Profiles feature, when people add you to their network, they generate an e-mail message inviting you to join the network. The e-mail contains a link to the Invitations tab, where you can accept or decline the invitation. If e-mail notifications have not been enabled for your deployment, you can access invitations directly from the Invitations tab on your Network Contacts page.
If you ignore an invitation, no notification of action is sent to the inviter.
To accept an invitation, do one of the following:
- If e-mail notifications are enabled:
- Click the link provided in the e-mail invitation to open the Invitations tab on your Network Contacts page. This page lists all pending invitations.
- Click Accept to accept the invitation and join the inviter's network.
- If e-mail notifications are not enabled:
- From the My Profile page, click My Network.
- Click the Invitations tab to view all pending invitations.
- Click Accept to accept an invitation and join another person's network.
