Viewing discussion topics

The discussion forum is a useful place to brainstorm and collect feedback on topics that are relevant to your community. Use your community's forum to share ideas with members and discuss topics of common interest.

Anyone who can access a community can automatically access the forum associated with that community. To post a topic or reply to a topic, be a community member.

Every community has a discussion forum where members can post new discussion topics and respond to existing discussion topics. The five most recent updates from the forum are displayed in the Discussion Forum area on the community's Overview page, where you can view usage statistics for each topic. These statistics are a good indicator of the topics that interest your community, and they can also give you an idea of who the most active participants are.

To view all the discussion topics posted to your community's forum...

  1. From your community, click Discussion Forum in the navigation sidebar to open the Discussion Forum page.

  2. Select a topic to read more.

Results

A threaded view of the topic displays, showing the original topic and any responses to it. When navigating long discussion threads, click the name under the response title to display the parent of that topic at the top of the page. This view makes it easy for you to see which response corresponds to which forum entry.
