Add the Activities widget

If you are a community owner, you can add the Activities widget so that you and fellow community owners can create activities to organize information and tasks relating to the community. Members can also use the widget to keep track of existing activities and see what new activities have been added to the community.


You must be a community owner to add the Activities widget to a community.


When the Activities widget is added to a community, you and fellow community owners can start new activities directly from the community. Community members automatically become members of any activity that is started from the community.

To add the Activities widget to a community...

  1. Open the community to which you want to add activities.

  2. Click Customize.

  3. Select Activities from the content palette.

  4. Optional: Click Close Palette to close the palette.

 

Results

The activity is created and displayed on the community's Overview page. An Activities link is also added to the navigation sidebar. You can use this link to display all the activities associated with the community.
