Set up an authentication alias

When you install the Confluence connector, an authentication alias is automatically set up on IBM WebSphere Application Server for the superuser to use when managing the Confluence Wiki. However, if your LDAP server requires a bind user, create an alias for the LDAP bind user.


To set up an authentication alias for the LDAP bind user...

In a network environment, create the alias in the WAS admin console for the dmgr.

  1. In the WAS admin console, select Security > Secure Administration, applications and infrastructure.

  2. Expand Java Authentication and Authorization Service.

  3. Select JAAS - J2C Authentication Data.

  4. Click New.

  5. Enter an alias name, user ID, and password.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Click Save, then click Save again.

After you have created the authentication alias, you can see it listed similar to the following:
