Change WebSphere Application Server administrative credentials

Update the administrative user IDs and passwords used to configure Lotus Connections on WebSphere Application Server.

This is an optional procedure.

  1. Refer to the WebSphere Application Server information center: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/v6r1/topic/com.ibm.websphere.base.doc/info/aes/ae/uwim_adminuserpwdsettings.html

  3. If the administrative user ID is used in any of the J2C authentication aliases, update the alias. To update the reference to the administrative user, change the credential information for the corresponding J2C authentication alias. In the WebSphere Application Server administration console, select Security > Secure Administration, applications and infrastructure.

  4. In the Authentication area, expand Java Authentication and Authorization Service, and click J2C authentication data.

  5. Click the alias name to edit it, and then change the value in the Password field.

  6. Apply and save the changes.

  7. Restart the servers hosting Lotus Connections.
