Install the Connections 2.5 Portlets for IBM WebSphere Portal

Overview

Using the Connections v2.5 portlets, you can access only those Lotus Connections offerings already installed and configured.

Requires Lotus Connections 2.5 and WebSphere Portal 6.1.

The portlets do not support Lotus Connections when hide email is enabled.

The portlets don't support third party authentication environments such as Tivoli Access Manager or SiteMinder.

To enable single sign-on between a Lotus Connections feature and a WebSphere Application Server configured for stand-alone LDAP, complete the steps to enable single-sign on before beginning this procedure, here: Configure single sign-on.

Installing this package makes the following portlets available to your portal users:

The summary portlet for each feature provides a view of the latest activity for each portlet. You can sort the view. Selecting an item in the summary view opens an associated portlet that allows you to interact with the Lotus Connections server. For example, you could create an activity, post a comment to a blog, or view your Dogear bookmarks.
