To install Lotus Connections, you need to follow a detailed series of procedures.

Install notes

Options for install:

1. WAS stand-alone profile.

   Create an additional WAS stand-alone profile and then install Lotus Connects there.

2. Existing federated node.

   Unfederate the node to do the installation, then re-federate after the install is complete.

Increase JVM heap size for Dmgr and appserver.

Make sure there is enough java virtual memory for the installer

LC assumes the default SOAP port number for WebSphere dmgr. Verify port is correct.

Verify WebSphere environment variables created for LC at the correct scope.

IBM supports v8.8 of eDirectory for Connections 2.5. For Novell eDirectory v8.7.3.9 see Untested LDAP Servers under 2.5 Connections support.
