Every new community is associated with a Lotus Sametime community topic. If the use of Lotus Sametime Broadcast Tools is enabled by your administrator, community members can leverage the broadcast capability to communicate with other members using chat or announcements. Members can also send an install poll to members of the community, and save the results to the community's discussion forum.
The persistent group chat feature provides a live chat room for community members. Chats can be saved to the community discussion forum so that members can view the chat history or respond to its content at a later time.
