Variables for directories
This book refers to the following variables:
MS_home Directory where the Managing Server is installed. Default locations:
UNIX/Linux /opt/IBM/itcam/WebSphere/MS Windows C:\IBM\itcam\WebSphere\MS
AppServer_home Directory where the application server's core product files are installed. Default: MS_home/WAS7. If there are multiple application server installations in the same directory path, the path will end in a directory named after the particular application server installation. In that case, for example, AppServer_home will be MS_home/WAS7/appserver_instance. DB2_home Directory where the IBM DB2 used by the Managing Server is installed. For embedded installations with the Managing Server. Default locations:
UNIX (non-AIX) and Linux /opt/IBM/db2/V8.1 IBM AIX /usr/opt/db2_08_01 Windows MS_home/DB2
DC_home Directory where the data collector is installed. The following table shows the default locations for the ITCAM Agent for WebSphere Applications data collector:

install_home z/OS. Directory where the data collector is installed. Default: /usr/lpp/itcam/WebSphere/DC. This directory can be mounted as read only in daily use. config_home z/OS. Read-write directory that is linked by a symbolic link to install_home. This is the directory in which you can modify the configuration of the data collector and where the runtime setup script registers its values. Location specified during the SMP/E installation. Default is /u/itcam61/WebSphere/DC.
