IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for Application Diagnostics, Version 7.1.0.1

Manual uninstallation of IBM WAS

If you used a preexisting installation of IBM WAS, do not uninstall it unless you are sure that it is not being used for other purposes.

To uninstall IBM WAS from your server:

  1. Run the uninstallation executable file, which is located in a subdirectory in the installation path for IBM WAS. For example:
    /opt/WebSphere/AppServer1/uninstall/uninstall.bin

The uninstallation file might be in a different location if you did not install (embed) IBM WAS along with the Managing Server.

  2. Follow the instructions in the uninstallation program windows. See IBM WAS documentation for further information.

  3. Reboot your server.

  4. If the directory still exists, delete the AppServer_home directory.
