Manual uninstallation of IBM WAS
If you used a preexisting installation of IBM WAS, do not uninstall it unless you are sure that it is not being used for other purposes.
Perform the following procedure to uninstall IBM WAS from your server:
- Run the uninstallation executable file that is located in a subdirectory in the installation path for the IBM WAS in using one of the following options:
The uninstallation file might be in a different location if you did not install (embed) IBM IBM WAS along with the Managing Server.
- From a command line:
AppServer_home\uninstall\uninstall.exe- With the Add/Remove Programs tool:
- Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add Remove Program > IBM IBM WAS.
- Click Remove to launch the uninstallation program.
- Follow the instructions in the uninstallation program windows. See IBM WAS documentation for further information.
- Reboot your server.
- If the directory still exists, delete the AppServer_home directory.
