Network Deployment environment: verifying and updating the virtual host port number
For a Network Deployment environment, you need to verify and (if needed) update the virtual host port number in the WAS administrative console. Complete the following steps:
- Find the port number in the following file: AppServer_home\profiles\profile_name\config\cells\cell_name\nodes\node_name\serverindex.xml. Look for WC_defaulthost.
- Log into the WAS administrative console.
- Expand Environment on the left menu and click Virtual Hosts > default host > Host Aliases.
- Verify that the port number discovered in Step 1 exists.
- If it does not, create the port in the virtual hosts file by clicking New and providing the host name as *.
- Enter the port number and save the configuration.
