Generating the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics filter engine

  1. Login to the Patrol EM server as user NetCmmnd.

  2. Extract the contents of the file amfilter.tar: 
    tar xvf amfilter.tar

  3. Use the Patrol EM Console, generate the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics filter engine.

  4. Click Customization > ALFE.

  5. Select NetCmmnd.fltr.

  6. The ALFE panel displays with the NetCmmnd filter loaded.

  7. Click File > Load Text Filter, then select AM.afltr.

  8. The ALFE panel displays with the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics filter loaded.

  9. Click Generate > Generate Production Filter.

  10. When the system generates the filter, the message Filter engine generated displays in the Prompter box.

  11. Click File > Save.

  12. After the system saves the filter the message /home/u/NetCmmnd/AM.fltr saved displays in the Prompter box. Close the ALFE window.
