Configure the IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console server
The ITCAM for Application Diagnostics events are described for TEC in am.baroc. These ITCAM for Application Diagnostics events depend on the events defined in tecad_snmp.baroc, which comes with TEC. Make sure that the TEC SNMP Adapter contains the events defined in tecad_snmp.baroc before installing am.baroc.
To install am.baroc, open a command prompt or shell with Tivoli paths and environment set, change directories to the media for the Managing Server's TEC integration feature, and type the following text:
sh am_setup_tec.sh SourceRuleBaseName NewRuleBaseName NewRuleBasePathSourceRuleBaseName is the name of your current rule base. For new installations of TEC, this is named Default.
NewRuleBaseName is the name of a new rule base to create. +- is recommended.
NewRuleBasePath is the name of a new directory where the rule base will be stored. An example is /usr/tec/am. Windows users: be sure to use forward slashes (/) in pathnames.
Upon successful completion, the am rulebase will accept ITCAM for Application Diagnostics events.
