Permissions for an existing WAS
The user for an existing WAS that you specify later during the installation needs to have root privileges in order to work with the Managing Server. This implies that the user will also have the following permissions:
- Able to create a new user or have permission to designate a preexisting user so you can define the DB2 Administration Server, DB2 Fenced, and DB2 Instance users
- Able to define a group name and home directory for new accounts
- Has full administrative rights to IBM DB2
