Modify service export

Modify an export component by rediscovering and reconfiguring the objects using the Edit Binding option in IBM Integration Designer.

You can invoke the external service wizard to modify the information of a service export interface. The wizard automatically populates the existing information for the selected export interface.

You can modify the objects and services, and then regenerate the export component with the modified data.


Procedure

  1. Invoke the external service wizard for the selected service interface import component using one of the following methods.

    • In the assembly editor, select the component you want to modify, right-click, and select Edit Binding.

    • In the Business Integration view, select the component you want to modify, right-click, and select Edit Binding.

    • Select the component in the assembly editor and select the Properties view. In the Binding tab, click the Edit link.

    The Object Discovery and Selection window of the external service wizard is displayed. The external service wizard populates the existing inputs for a selected object automatically.

  2. In the Find Objects in the Enterprise System window, make the required changes. For more information about discovering objects, see Discovering objects.

    To change the connection properties for the external service wizard, click Back and change the properties in the Discovery Configuration window. For more information see, Setting connection properties for the external wizard.

    1. To select and configure data queues, see Selecting business objects and services:

    2. To modify the configuration of an object from the Selected objects list, select the object name and then click the

      (Edit) icon.

    3. To remove an object from the Selected objects list, select the object name and then click the (Remove) button.

  3. Click Next. If you click Cancel, the changes you made in the previous step does not take effect.

  4. In the Configure Composite Properties window, specify properties that apply to all business objects. See Setting global properties for operations.

  5. Click Next.

  6. In the Service Generation window, modify the service operations if required.

  7. Click Finish. The artifacts are updated.
