Setting interaction specification properties and generating the service

Interaction properties are optional. If you choose to set them, the values you specify are displayed in the import file. The import file is generated when the adapter creates artifacts for the module and contains the operation for the top-level business object.

To set interaction specification properties and generate artifacts for your module, configure data bindings and selected business objects.

Interaction specification properties do not take precedence over request business object attributes, except for the user name and password properties. User name and password values specified in the interaction specification properties take more precedence over values set in the managed connection factory properties. To set interaction specification properties and generate artifacts, follow this procedure. See Interaction specification properties.


Procedure

  1. To set interaction specification properties complete these steps:

    1. Click Advanced.

    2. Type values for any fields you want to set as defaults.

    3. Click Next.

  2. In the Specify the Name and Location window, select the Module from the list.

    For example, EmailModule for outbound processing.

  3. Optional: Name the Folder used to store the artifacts.
  4. Type a Name for the interface. This name appears in the IBM Integration Designer assembly diagram.

  5. Optional: Type a Description.

  6. Click Finish. The interface is displayed in IBM Integration Designer assembly diagram.

    The business object you created is also displayed in a different tab.


Results

IBM Integration Designer generates the artifacts and an import. The outbound artifacts that are created are visible in the IBM Integration Designer Project Explorer under your module.
