Update event models
When you specify the type of an inbound or outbound event in the monitor details model or key performance indicator (KPI) model, the XML Schema Definition (XSD) or Common Base Event file containing the event type definition is automatically added as an import location to the event model in the XML source document. The Event Model page displays the event model in a table.
The table has the following uses:
- You can review the list of event definitions. Expand each file name in the table to see the complete set of event definitions. All the event definitions in the file are shown, even if they are not used in the monitor model. Event definitions must be unique within the project scope, which includes any associated projects, even if they come from different files.
- You can remove files when event definitions are no longer required.
If you have changed an inbound or outbound event type and no longer require a file containing event definitions, select the file and click Remove.
What to do next
The event model table is merely a tabular representation of the event model section of the XML document. Changing the table will change the event model section of the XML document, and vice versa.
