Defining the actions of elements in process application diagrams
You can define the actions of elements such as activities in process application diagrams. These actions include Set Color, Set Text, Set Diagram Link, and so on.
In the visual model for a process application diagram, each element in the diagram has shape sets that you can use to provide an action or change its look. Each shape set has an mm:id with a prefix. The prefix is FIG: for the element shape, KPI: for KPI label preceding the element, MSK: for the element color, and TXT: for the element label text.
Procedure
- In the monitor model editor, open the Visual editor and then pick the diagram.
- Click Synchronize. In the Synchronize wizard that opens, click OK.
- Consult the following table for the steps that you need to take to perform an action:
Actions in process application diagrams Action Prefix Steps Change the KPI label (the text value preceding a node) KPI:
- If the KPI: shape sets are not already added to the visual model, click Synchronize to add them.
- Right-click the KPI label and select Add Action.
- Click Set Text.
- Enter the new label.
Change the color of the text label of a node TXT:
- In the Add and Edit Shape Set Actions table, find the TXT:mm:id for the node or in the diagram, select the label.
- In the table, right-click the mm:id and select Add Action and then click Set Color.
- Expand the Set Color action in the table.
- In the Action Attribute Value column, set the color for the text in the fill color row.
Set the color of a node or its outline MSK:
- In the Add and Edit Shape Set Actions table, find the MSK:mm:id for the node or in the diagram, select the node or the node outline.
- In the table, right click the mm:id and select Add Action and then click Set Color.
- Expand the Set Color action in the table.
- In the Action Attribute Value column, set the color for the node in the fill color row and the outline color in the outline color row.
Open a different SVG diagram TXT: MSK: FIG:
- In the Add and Edit Shape Set Actions table, find the TXT:mm:id for the node or in the diagram, select the label for the node.
- In the table, right click the mm:id and select Add Action and then click Set Diagram Link.
- In the Action Attribute Value column, click the edit icon
- Use the content assistant to select the relative link to the Monitoring Context diagram or the KPI Context diagram.
- Repeat steps a to d for MSK:mm:id and FIG:mm:id.
Hide a node TXT: MSK: FIG:
- In the Add and Edit Shape Set Actions table, find the TXT:mm:id for the node or in the diagram, select the label for the node.
- In the table, right click the mm:id and select Add Action and then click Hide Shapes.
- Repeat steps a and b for MSK:mm:id and FIG:mm:id.
Restriction:
- The Set Color action does not function for any shape sets with the KPI: prefix on their mm:id.
- The Set Text action does not function for any shape sets the TXT: or MSK: prefix on their mm:id.
- Save your changes.
