Adding notes
You can use notes to add reminders or development notes. A note can remind you of further development that needs to be done.
You can add notes in the following editors:
- Assembly editor
- Mediation flow editor
- Business process editor
- State machine editor
Procedure
To add a note:
- To create a note, click the note icon
at the top of the palette and click again on the canvas to place the note.
- Click the note association icon,
and then click the note and then an artifact. The note is now associated with that artifact. That association is maintained if you use refactoring to rename or move the artifact.
If you check the artifact into a repository, the note will travel with it.
- You can associate the note with another artifact by dragging the association line to a new location.
What to do next
With the cursor on the note, right-click to see additional options for the note. You can use these options on the canvas to hide or show the notes in the diagram.
