Importing projects from IBM WebSphere Business Modeler
You can import a project interchange (PI) file from IBM WebSphere Business Modeler to use as the base for building an application in IBM Integration Designer.
IBM Integration Designer has been optimized to work best with a specific project structure when the application is being developed from a model. See "Project structure exported from IBM WebSphere Business Modeler" for an explanation of that structure.
This topic provides instructions for importing a model for the first time or importing a model that you will use to overwrite the application that is in your workspace. If you have an application based on a previous version of the model, do not import a project interchange file with the same name unless you want to completely replace the application in your workspace. Instead, you can use the Synchronization window to compare the artifacts from the model with the application in your workspace. That way you can select what you want to import and what you want to preserve. You will find instructions for these tasks in related topics.
To import the projects into IBM Integration Designer, follow these steps:
Procedure
- Click File > Import.
- In the Import wizard, select Other > Project Interchange.
- Browse to find the location of the project interchange file and the location of the workspace where you want the projects to reside. Click Finish. The projects will be unzipped into your workspace.
