Create an interface map using the interface map wizard

You can reconcile the differences between the interfaces of interacting components by creating an interface map.

To create an interface map, follow these steps:

Procedure

  1. Select File > New > Interface Map to invoke the wizard. From the New Interface Map wizard, you can either use an existing module, or create a new one. You must also provide a name for the new interface map.

  2. Click Next.

  3. Select the source and target interfaces to be mapped. You may choose either to Browse to select existing interfaces or create new ones for the source and target by clicking New.

  4. Click Finish. The interface map editor opens for the newly created map

  5. In the source interface, right-click the operation and select Create Operation Mapping or click and drag the connection to the operation of the target interface If that clicking on the yellow "grabby"

begins the connection creation mode and you can use the editor's scroll bars while in this mode.

  6. Select the connection to create new or to see existing parameter mappings.

What to do next
