Improving performance when using human task list widgets
You can improve process perfromance when you add a federation service layer.
The addition of a federation service layer and the higher number of items to be retrieved result in a performance degradation.
You can improve the performance characteristics of a process server when you use the Human Task Management widgets, such as the Tasks or Processes widgets, in Process Portal spaces on a new installation of IBM BPM Advanced. The same performance considerations apply if you use the widgets with only business process definition (BPD) processes and human services on a single application server, or a cluster.
Procedure
To check the target services configuration in the administrative console:
- Open the administrative console.
- Select the Servers tab in the navigation bar.
- Select WebSphere application servers server type and choose the application server on which you run Business Space. The page to configure an application server opens.
- In the Additional Properties section select the REST service endpoint registration entry. The REST service endpoint registration page opens.
- Check the service endpoint target values for the process services and the task services REST endpoint types. The default setting is Federated REST services.
