You can reconfigure the database password, as needed, once your database configuration is completed.
About this task
You reconfigure the database password using the administrative console. There are three processes you need to complete to change the database password.
- Update the authentication alias for all data sources
- Update the Messaging Engine data store authentication alias
- Manually update the Process Server and Performance Data Warehouse password in the 98database.xml file
Important: Before you make any configuration changes, it is suggested that you backup the config folder. The config folder is located beneath the Deployment Manager at <Dmgr-profile>/config. Contact your WebSphere Application Server administrator for more information.
- Update the data source authentication alias
You need to update the data source authentication alias before you change a database password.
- Update the messaging engine data store authentication alias
You must update the messaging engine data store authentication alias before you modify the database password.
- Update the password in the configuration file
You must update some configuration files in order to modify your database password.
