Configure a stand-alone environment on AIX

You can use a typical installation to install the software and configure a stand-alone Process Center or Process Server profile. Or you can choose custom installation and then create profiles, giving you more control over how to configure your software.

• Typical installation and configuration
  The Typical installation option is the simplest and quickest method for install IBM BPM.

• Custom installation and configuration
  Use the Custom installation option to install IBM BPM if you need any installation or configuration options that are not provided by the Typical installation option, to install silently, or to install on an existing installation of WebSphere Application Server.

• Modify an existing installation
  After install the runtime environment on your system in IBM BPM, you might want to customize your configuration.

  For example, you might want to customize settings, set up an additional security provider, set up user accounts, and change and encrypt passwords.
