DataPower libraries
A DataPower library is used to store artifacts that are developed for deployment to a WebSphere DataPower Appliance. The library facilitates source code management in a team repository, and is also used to transfer artifacts between IBM Integration Designer and WebSphere DataPower.
DataPower libraries contain artifacts that allow the processing of XML messages on a WebSphere DataPower appliance.
- The artifacts that a DataPower library typically contains are business objects (XSD files), interfaces (WSDL files), XML maps and XSLT files.
- You can set a DataPower library to support either complete DataPower functionality, or you can limit a DataPower library to support only function that is common between IBM BPM, WebSphere ESB, and WebSphere DataPower. DataPower libraries that support only common function can be shared with modules and mediation modules.
- For limitations of DataPower libraries, see DataPower limitations.
