Manage role instances
Managing role instances can include tasks like viewing instances, editing instance properties, and creating or deleting instances.
- Viewing role instances
- You can view detailed information for the selected role instance, including the role name, role element, key attributes and property values, status, and logical state.
- Creating or deleting role instances
- You can create a new role instance for a relationship. If that you can set the key attribute value only when creating the role instance; it cannot be changed after the changes are made in the database.
When a role instance is no longer needed, you can delete it.
- Editing role instance properties
- If property values have previously been defined for a role instance, you can use the relationship manager to edit those values.
For more information on these tasks, see the relationship manager online help.
