WebLogic Server uses credential mappings to support trust between two different domains. To create a username and password-based credential mapping for cross-domain security:

- In the left pane, select Security Realms and click the name of the realm you are configuring (for example, myrealm).
- Select credential mappings > Default.
The Default credential mappings table lists the Credential Mappings configured in the security realm.
- Click New.
The Creating the Remote Resource for the Security Credential Mapping page appears.
- Select Use cross-domain protocol.
- In the Remote Domain field, enter the name of the remote domain that needs to interact with the local domain.
Click Next.
- On the Create a New Security Credential Map Entry page, enter the following:
- Local User: Enter the string cross-domain.
- Remote User: User configured in the remote domain that is authorized to interact with the local domain.
- Password: The password for the remote user.
- Click Finish.
