Specify the logging implementation

WebLogic logging services use a logging implementation based on the Java Logging APIs, by default. You can direct the logging services to use Log4j instead.

Note: You can enable Log4j for the server logger as well as the domain logger, which resides only on the Administration Server.

To specify the logging implementation:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).

  2. In the left pane of the Console, expand Environment and select Servers.

  3. In the Servers table, click the name of the server instance whose logging you want to configure.

  4. Select Logging > General, and click Advanced at the bottom of the page.

  5. In the Logging Implementation list box, select Log4j or keep the default, JDK.

    For more information, see Log4j and the Commons Logging API.

  6. Click Save.

  7. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
    Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).

After you finish

Restart the server. } } (document.images){ dcs_imgarray[dcs_ptr] = new Image; dcs_imgarray[dcs_ptr].src = dcs_src; WT[myMeta.name.substring(3)]=myMeta.content; } if DCSext[myMeta.name.substring(7)]=myMeta.content; } } } } for (N in DCS){P+=A( N, DCS[N]);} for (N in WT){P+=A( "WT."+N, WT[N]);} for (N in DCSext){P+=A( N, DCSext[N]);} //} aCrumb=aCookie[i].split("="); if (crumb==aCrumb[0]){ return aCrumb[1]; } } return null; } i=0;i
