After you have deployed a new application or module, you can change configuration options for the JDBC modules in the deployment. Changes are stored in a deployment plan. Changes to dynamic settings take effect immediately after you activate your changes. For non-dynamic settings (indicated by a yellow triangle), changes take effect after you update (redeploy) the application or JDBC module. To modify a JDBC application module:
- If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
- In the left pane of the Administration Console, select Deployments.
- In the right pane, choose one of the following options:
- For a stand-alone JDBC module, click the name of the module.
- For a packaged JDBC module, expand the application to view the application modules, then click the name of the JDBC module that you want to modify.
- Make changes on the available tabs and click Save to save your changes.
- If you have not selected a deployment plan file for the module, you are prompted to select one to save your changes. Click Finish to continue.
- To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center). After you finish
Changes to dynamic settings take effect immediately. However, if you changed any non-dynamic settings, those changes will not take effect until after you update (redeploy) the module or application. See the following:
