Configure administered object properties

A resource adapter can use administered objects (admin objects) in messaging operations. The admin objects are configured in the ra.xml and weblogic-ra.xml deployment descriptors. You can also use the Administration Console to modify the admin object's properties. Properties you modify in the console will be saved in a deployment plan. For information about the properties of a resource adapter, see Creating and Configuring Resource Adapters.

To configure credential mappings for a resource adapter installed on WebLogic Server:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).

  2. In the left pane, select Deployments.

  3. On the Summary of Deployments page, locate your resource adapter and click its name to open the Settings page for the resource adapter.

  4. On the Settings page for the resource adapter, expand Configuration > Admin Objects.

  5. Select the admin object you want to configure.

  6. In the Admin Object Properties table, modify the properties you want to set for this admin object.

  7. Click Save.

The property values you set are saved in the deployment plan for the resource adapter.
