Test the modules in an Enterprise application

Some modules types in an Enterprise application support test points you can use to verify that the module deployed successfully, that it is ready for use, and that it is working as you expect. Not all module types support this functionality.

The following procedure describes how to use the Administration Console to test the modules that make up an Enterprise application.

  1. In the left pane of the Console, click the Deployments folder. A table that lists all the deployments currently installed on WebLogic Server appears in the right pane. The Type column specifies whether a deployment is an Enterprise application, a Web application, or an EJB module.

  2. In Deployments table, click the name of the Enterprise application whose modules you want to test.

  3. Click the Testing tab.

The displayed table lists the modules of the Enterprise application that can be tested. The Name column displays the name of the module, the Test Point column lists the link (if any) that you can click on to test the module, and the Comments column specifies whether the module supports test points and, if so, what type of test.

  4. Click on links in the Test Point column to test a module.
