Use of fully qualified path names

Because of the wide variety of UNIX operating systems and possible user environments, use fully qualified path names when entering a directory during the installation process (do not use pattern-matching characters).

IBM scripts use the Korn shell. When a new process or shell is invoked, use of symbolic links, environmental variables, or aliases can potentially cause unexpected results.
