Required order of installation or upgrade of IBM Tivoli Monitoring component products
This section contains information about the required order of installation or upgrade of IBM Tivoli Monitoring component products.
If any of the following products will be installed on the same computer as monitoring agents, they must be installed before the agent is installed:
- Hub Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server
- Remote monitoring server (if necessary)
- Tivoli Enterprise Management Agent Framework
- Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server
- Tivoli Enterprise Portal desktop client
- Dashboard Application Services Hub
- IBM Infrastructure Management Dashboards for Servers
- Tivoli Authorization Policy Server
- tivcmd CLI for Authorization Policy
- Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Automation Server
These products must be installed on at least one computer before the agent can be properly configured. The appropriate Tivoli Enterprise Management Agent Framework is installed when an agent is installed.
