Test the connection between the portal server and the Tivoli Data Warehouse
To test the connection between the Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server and the Tivoli Data Warehouse database, use the Tivoli Enterprise Portal to create a custom SQL query to the warehouse database and display the results. The procedure described in this section creates an SQL query to the WAREHOUSELOG table, a status table that is created in the warehouse database when the Warehouse Proxy Agent starts.
Before you begin, make sure that the following components are installed and started:
- The Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server
- The Warehouse Proxy Agent
- The Tivoli Data Warehouse RDBMS server
The test procedure consists of the following steps:
- 1. Create the query
The first step of the test procedure is to create a custom SQL query to the WAREHOUSELOG table.
- 2. Create a workspace
The second step of the test procedure is to create a workspace.
- 3. Assign the query to the workspace
The third step of the test procedure is to assign the query to the workspace.
