Using IBM Support Assistant to search knowledge bases

The IBM Support Assistant has a powerful search feature that searches the Internet and the IBM knowledge bases for information related to problem, and returns results categorized by source for easy review.

To search knowledge bases using the IBM Support Assistant workbench:

  1. Start the IBM Support Assistant workbench.

  2. On the Welcome page, click Find Information or click Launch Activity > Find Information.

  3. Enter the search terms.

  4. Optional:

    To refine search, click Advanced Search and specify the search options for each search target. Click OK.

  5. Click Go.

  6. From the search results, click a link to open it.
