Set custom and conditional report colors

Overview

You can...

Define custom colors for a report

  1. In the Test Navigator, expand the project until you locate the run.

  2. Double-click the run. The default report opens.

  3. Right-click the graphic to modify, and then click Customize Colors.

    The Customize Colors window opens...

  4. Select one of the following:

    Option Description
Use default palette Click to use the predefined color combinations on the Performance Test Reports preference page...

Window | Preferences | Test | Performance Test Reports
Define simple palette Click to define a simple array of colors. The first color is assigned to the first graphic element. The second color is assigned to the second graphic element, and so on.
Define conditional palettes Click to define a color used when a graphic matches an expression.

For example, you can make a bar turn red when its value is >= 1000 ms, or a table cell turn green when its value = "Passed".

  5. Click OK.

  6. To apply the palette to all results opened with this report, save the report (File > Save). When you open other results with the saved report, the palette is applied to the result.

Results

You have now assigned custom colors to a report. If you have defined a conditional palette, you can open the report during a run and see it change colors when it satisfies the values that you have set.
