SIP Performance report

The SIP Performance report summarizes information related to a test run. Each page contains a progress indicator that shows the state of the run. You can modify a report or create a new one by dragging the SIP test-related counters to reports page.

Overall page

The Overall page provides the following test execution results in a bar chart:

• Percentage of successful requests for all SIP domains in the test for the entire run.

• Percentage of verification points that pass for all SIP domains in the test for the entire run.

• Percentage of successful requests for each SIP domain in a test for the entire run (counters per domain).

Summary page

The Summary page provides information concentrated in three tables.

• Summary table

  • Number of active users

  • Number of users who complete the test

  • Total number of users in the test

  • Time elapsed from the start of the test

  • Location of the test being executed

  • Hosts for which the results are displayed

  • Run status of the test, such as Running or Complete.

• Response Times Summary table

  • Average time to answer for SIP calls initiated by all SIP domains for the entire run (in ms)

  • Average time for first response for SIP calls initiated by all SIP domains for the entire run (in ms)

  • Maximum time to answer for SIP calls initiated by all SIP domains for the entire run (in ms)

  • Maximum time for first response for SIP calls initiated by all SIP domains for the entire run (in ms)

  • Minimum time to answer for SIP calls initiated by all SIP domains for the entire run (in ms)

  • Minimum time for first response for SIP calls initiated by all SIP domains for the entire run (in ms)

• SIP Interactions Summary table

  • Number of successful requests sent by all SIP domains in the test for the entire run

  • Total number of requests sent by all SIP domains in the test for the entire run

  • Total number of requests received by all SIP domains in the test for the entire run

  • Total number of verification points that passed for messages in all SIP domains in the test for the entire run

  • Total number of verification points that failed for messages in all SIP domains in the test for the entire run

  • Total number of verification points that are inconclusive for messages in all SIP domains in the test for the entire run

Request Rate vs. Response Time page

The Request Rate vs. Response Time page uses graphs to show the relationship between the request rate and the response time for the requests.

• Request Rate graph

  • The request rate (requests per second) for all SIP domains in the test during the sample interval. (There is a point in the graph for each interval.)

• Response Time graph

  • The average time to answer (in ms) for requests sent by all SIP domains in the test during the sample interval. (There is a point in the graph for each interval.)

  • The average time for the first response (in ms) for requests sent by all SIP domains in the test during the sample interval. (There is a point in the graph for each interval.)

Request Results page

The Request Results page shows the interrelationships between the request rate, percentage of successful requests, and percentage of verification points passed, using the following graphs:

• Request Rate graph

  • The request rate (requests per second) for all SIP domains in the test during the sample interval. (There is a point in the graph for each interval.)

• Request Results graph

  • The percentage of successful requests for all SIP domains in the test during the sample interval. (There is a point in the graph for each interval.)

• Verification Points Results graph

  • The percentage of messages with verification points that pass for all SIP domains in the test during the sample interval. (There is a point in the graph for each interval.)

  • The percentage of verification points that pass for all SIP domains in the test during the sample interval. (There is a point in the graph for each interval.)

Response Time for Target Domain page

The Response Time for Target Domain page has a graph and a table that show the average response time and other performance parameters per domain.

• Average Response Time graph.

  • The average time for first response (in ms) for calls initiated by the local SIP domain to the remote SIP domain during the sample interval. (The graph includes a curve for each pair and a point in the curve for each interval.)

  • The average time to answer (in ms) for calls initiated by the local SIP domain to the remote SIP domain during the sample interval. (The graph includes a curve for each pair and a point in the curve for each interval.)

• The Performance Summary per Domain table contains a row in the table for each SIP domain in the test.

  • The outgoing request rate for the specified SIP domain for the entire run

  • The incoming request rate for the specified SIP domain for the entire run

  • The total number of requests sent by the specified SIP domain for the entire run

  • The total number of requests received by the specified SIP domain for the entire run

  • The percentage of verification points that pass for the specified SIP domain for the entire run

  • The total number of messages with verification points that pass for the specified SIP domain for the entire run

  • The total number of messages with inconclusive verification points for the specified SIP domain for the entire run
