Configure the Rational Quality Manager adapter

Overview

Before using Rational Performance Tester or Rational Service Tester for SOA Quality with Rational Quality Manager, configure the Rational Quality Manager adapter.

To configure the RQM adapter in Rational Performance Tester or Rational Service Tester for SOA Quality, have the following information:

• The URL of the Rational Quality Manager server.

• A login and password to access a user account in RQM.

  This user account must exist in RQM with a Connector Client Access License.

Configure the RQM adapter

1. In the test workbench, click Window > Preferences > Quality Manager Adapter.

   

   1. In Server URL, type the RQM server URL.

   2. In Login and Password, type the ID and password of the RQM user account.

   3. Optional: In Adapter Name, type a unique name to identify the RQM adapter on this workstation. By default, the adapter uses the name of the computer.

   4. Optional: connect the adapter to a project area other than the default Quality Manager project, type the name of the project to connect to.

2. Click OK to save the configuration.

3. Run the RQM adapter from the command line or as a Windows service, perform the following additional steps:

   1. Edit...
      C:/IBM/SDP/RPT-RST_RQMAdapter/config/adapter.config

   2. Set WORKSPACE_DIR to point to the same test workspace that you want the adapter to use, for example:
      WORKSPACE_DIR= C:/IBM/rationalsdp/my_adapter_workspace
