Logging window content

You can log the contents of a window in a correctly formatted log file. The log contains the record of events that occur when recording the script.

To log contents of a window:

Procedure

1. Replace the default New Script Helper Superclass with the TerminalScriptfile. The replacement file logs contents of the window in a correctly formatted log file. The file is available in the examples folder in the Extension for Terminal-based Applications installation directory.

2. Add the following command to the script for each window that you want to add to the log file: logInfo(formatScreenText(Screen(),true));. For additional information see the following Web page: http://com.rational.test.ft.help/ChangingDefaultScriptHelperSuperclass.htm.
