The symptom database editor

The symptom database editor is used to update symptom database files or to create your own symptom database.

The Overview pane of the editor displays information about a selected symptom database file.  The Details pane displays the contents of a selected symptom, solution, or directive.  It also lets you add, delete, or edit records.

In the following sample, the topmost node in the tree represents the symptom database root element, which contains symptom artifacts. The symptoms are shown directly beneath the root element. The selected entry, ADMS0007E, is such a symptom. The solution and resolution are shown below the symptom. Selecting the symtpom, solution or resolution will refresh the right pane with the corresponding details. In the example below, the details of ADMS0007E are shown in the right pane.
