Test Suite editor reference
The Test Suite editor allows you to view and edit the properties of a test suite. Use the Test Suite editor to add, remove, or edit test cases and stubs for all component tests as well as deployment data for EJB component tests.
- Overview pane
- Shows general information about the test suite.
- Name
- Allows you to edit the name of the test suite.
- Description
- Allows you to edit an optional short description of the test suite.
- File
- Displays the paths to the test suite resource file and to the test behavior script.
- Type
- Test Cases
- Provides links to the Test Cases view. Clicking the More button is the same as clicking the Test Cases tab.
- Stubs
- Provides links to the Stubs view. Clicking the More button is the same as clicking the Stubs tab.
- Deployment
- Provides links to the Deployment view. Clicking the More button is the same as clicking the Deployment tab.
- Test Cases pane
- The Test Cases pane allows you to add, edit and remove test cases from a test suite.
- Name
- Allows you to edit the name of the test case.
- Test method
- Shows the actual method corresponding to this test case in the test behavior script.
- Description
- Provides an optional short description of the test case.
- Actions
- Right-click a test case in the Test Cases list to remove or edit the test case or click the corresponding buttons.
- Add
- Adds an existing test case to the current test suite.
- Remove
- Removes the test case from the suite. This does not delete the actual test method.
- Edit
- Opens the corresponding test case in the Java editor and test data table.
- Stubs pane
- Allows you to add, edit and remove stubs from a test suite.
- Name
- Displays the name of the stub.
- Type
- Shows the type of stub - for example: - EJB Stub for Component Testing.
- Stub
- Shows the location and name of the stub class.Click Edit to open the stub in the Java editor and stub data table.
- Stubbed element
- Shows the location and name of the original class replaced by the selected stub.Click Edit to open the original class in the Java editor.
- Actions
- Right-click a test case in the Test Cases list to remove or edit the test case or click the corresponding buttons.
- New
- Creates a new stub and adds it to the test suite.
- Add
- Adds a previously created stub to the current test suite.
- Remove
- Removes the selected stub from the test suite.This does not delete the actual stub code.
- Edit
- Opens the corresponding stub in the Java editor and stub data table.
