The Thread View preferences page

Use this page to change the default appearance of the Thread View.

To open the Thread View preference page, select Window > Preferences. In the Preference page navigator, expand Profiling and Logging. Then expand the Appearance node, and click Thread View.

You can change the colors and patterns used for window elements and thread states, as well as the format for listing threads.

 

General page

Option Description
Colors You can specify colors for the following items in the Thread View: Current time color, future time background, ruler, ticks, the window, maximum duration of compressed scale, and ticks and texts for the compressed scale.
Use pattern In addition to color, you can specify a pattern to use for the maximum duration of compressed scale.
Use transparent background for ruler text Select to use a transparent background for the numbers on the ruler. Deselect to use an opaque background for the numbers.
Show threads in tree format on startup Select to show the threads in tree format, with collapsible nodes. Deselect to show the threads as a flat list.

Option Description
Foreground You can specify foreground and background colors, as well as patterns, to distinguish the following thread states: Running, Sleep, Waiting for Lock, Waiting for Object, and Dead.
