Exporting a list of installed Rational software development products

The Product Updater tool allows you to create a text file list of currently installed Rational software development products, including details such as product version, updates (fixes) applied, and installation dates. You might be asked to provide this list to IBM Software Support if you contact them with a problem or question.

To export the list of installed products:

1. Launch the Product Updater by clicking Start > Programs > IBM Rational > Rational Product Updater.

2. From the Rational Product Updater menu, click File > Export Installed Product List.

3. Specify the output location and name of the output text file. (The default name for the file is installHistory.txt)
